Homework For Thursday 22nd December 2011

Numeracy Investigation: Use the numbers 1, 2, 3 & 4 to make all of the numbers from 1 to 20. You MUST use each number ONCE and only once. You can use any combination of +, -, x and ÷

For example: 

1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10

1 x (2 + 3 + 4) = 9
Science Test: Revise for a Science Test on all of the work this term. Learn what is in your book and use some of the pages from this website: Science
Literacy: Write 3 Headlines and the 1st paragraph for 3 newspaper articles that could appear in the newspaper called "The Christmas Times".


Spellings:
RED: bodies, cities, families, berries, butterflies, cherries, copies, cries, daisies and entries
ORANGE & GREEN: properties, varieties, activities, apologies, balconies, biographies, categories, centuries, cranberries and currencies

Science: "What Do You Know About Teeth?" sheet.. You can write on the sheet.
Literacy: Type up one of the newspaper reports that you have done in class. Try to make improvements as you do it. Add an image, print it off and stick it into your Literacy Book. If you are in Y6J, this can either be your report about the robbery from the school or the flood from the River Drake.
Numeracy: NHM Topic Assessment 9: Weight Q1 to 4. You can also earn 2 House Points if you complete Q 3, 4 & 5 of Topic Assessment 10: Length
Spelling:
White: now, down, owl, cow, how, row, town, towel, elbow, shadow
Red: attempts, castles, engines, creatures, hedges, pieces, stripes, selects, materials & visitors
Orange & Green: carriages, foundations, structures, materials, creatures, magazines, pieces, muscles, signatures & survivors
